Sporting Clays

Each year we have had several very successful Sporting Clay events. The schedule for the 2012 season has not yet been determined, but will be posted here soon. Sporting Clays is a growing event at Andover Sportsman's Club. We hosted 4 shoots in 2011 with increasing number of participants at each event.

New trap machines where added in 2011 and we are investing in more traps so we can set differnt cources every shoot.

Peter Condio is the driving force behind the Sporting Clays and without him this would not be possible. He cleaned out several new shooting lanes and widened or cleaned others to give nice long shooting windows.

None of the targets are difficult to hit, just easy to miss. By visiting Sporting Clay events at other clubs we learn how to set a diverse course every time and we improve our own events.

For 2012 we are scheduling 4 or maybe 5 Sundays for Sporting Clays shoots.

Come to Andover and enjoy walking from a battue in the open glen via a pair of high flying clays showing black belly to a smoking rabbit (Statement will explain itself when the video is uploaded)
